AvtoVaz board could confirm new president on Aug 28
MOSCOW. Aug 25 (Interfax) - OJSC AvtoVaz's board of directors will vote on new company president on August 28, Igor Zavyalov, the deputy director of Russian Technologies, said in an interview with Vesti-24.
Prior the board's decision, Igor Komarov will perform as acting president. He also has been proposed by Russian Technologies as the company's next president.
Alyoshin, who left the position as Avtovaz president, will also exit the company's board of directors, Zavyalov said, adding that the former president had performed well during his time in the position.
Avtovaz confirmed Alyoshin's departure on Tuesday. The former head of Rosprom and Deputy Prime Minister is leaving the company in order to start a new job.
