Gazprom sees better H2 export environment

MOSCOW. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Gazprom expects the environment for gas exports to pick up in the second half of 2009, an official from Gazprom Export said.

"A positive tendency started to emerge in June, and our gas supplies are approaching last year's levels," Mikhail Malgin, the company's manager for key clients, said during a conference call.

Gazprom Export representative Andrei Zotov said the situation with gas exports in the fourth quarter would depend on the weather, among other factors. "We expect this will be on a par with Q4 2008," he said.
