China may invest in Russian transport infrastructure
BEIJING. Sept 3 (Interfax) - The Chinese Transport and Railroad Ministries will propose to the Chinese government to invest in Russian transport infrastructure, Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin said in Beijing on Thursday.
"Both Chinese ministers agreed at the negotiations to ask the Chinese government to invest in our transport infrastructure," he said.
First and foremost, this is the question of roads and high-speed railroad traffic, he said.
"China is ready for that, and I think we will prepare specific proposals by the next meeting of the two premiers," he said.
Previously, the Chinese government invested in fuel and energy projects, Levitin noted.
