Chelyabinsk Zinc could slash output 20%-25% in 2009

CHELYABINSK. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant could cut zinc output 20%-25% in 2009.

Planned zinc production is 112,000 tonnes, Alexander Zatonsky, CZP's general director, told Interfax.

Zinc production plummeted 20% year-on-year in January-August to 72,000 tonnes, Zatonsky said.
