Russian oil exports to non-CIS unchanged in Jan-July; gas down 40.2% - customs
MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Russian oil exports to countries outside the CIS totaled 121.127 million tonnes in January-July 2009, about the same as in the first seven months last year, the Federal Customs Service said in a statement.
Petroleum product exports to the non-CIS increased 6.7% by volume in the seven months, including increases of 27.9% for gasoline, 7.3% for diesel fuel and 4.5% for fuel oil.
Exports of fuel and energy commodities shrank 49.8% by value in the seven months.
Fuel and energy accounted for 69.1% of total Russian exports to non-CIS countries in January-July 2009 compared with 73.4% in the same period of last year.
Crude oil exports to the CIS totaled 8.865 million tonnes in the period, down 15.3% from the same period of 2008.
Oil product exports to the CIS fell 26.3% by volume in January-July: diesel fuel exports were down 41.5%, fuel oil - down 45.9% and automotive gasoline - down 4%.
The value of fuel and energy commodities exported to the CIS declined 57% in the seven months.
Fuel and energy accounted for 36.4% of total Russian exports to the CIS in the period, down from 43.8% a year previously.
Natural gas exports totaled 69.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) in the seven months. Gas exports to the non-CIS fell 40.2% to 60 bcm, while gas exports to the CIS shrank 11.5% to 9.5 bcm.
