Sinopec Group fuel pipeline starts operation in Yunnan
Shanghai. September 11. INTERFAX-CHINA - China Petrochemical Corp. (Sinopec Group), China's largest fuel producer, put the Kunming-Dali fuel pipeline into operation in southwestern China's Yunnan Province on Sept. 8, the company said in a newsletter on Sept. 10.
The 323-kilometer pipeline has an annual transmission capacity of 2.9 million tons, according to the newsletter.
Zhang Haichao, Sinopec Group's deputy general manager, said in the newsletter that the pipeline will ease the fuel transportation bottleneck in Yunnan's mid-west region.
This pipeline, also known as the second phase of Sinopec Group's southwestern fuel pipeline, connects to the first phase of the company's southwestern fuel pipeline, which transports fuel from Maoming City, Guangdong Province to Kunming City, Yunnan Province.
