Russian stocks open higher on Fri; MICEX index up 0.9%
MOSCOW. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Russian stocks opened higher on Friday, with the majority of the blue chips rising as exchanges in Asia advanced and oil prices remained favorable.
The MICEX index rose 0.86% to 1,164.07 points as of 10:31 a.m.
Gazprom and Gazprom Neft were the leading advancers, both adding 1.5%.
