Russia had 1.5% month-on-month GDP growth in August

MOSCOW. Sept 16 (Interfax) - Russian GDP grew 1.5% in August compared with July this year, said Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Kudrin, who is also the country's finance minister.

"We expect growth of approximately 1.5% in Q3 compared with Q2, and 2.4% in Q4 compared with Q3," Kudrin said.

Regarding the drop in industrial output seen in August compared with July, Kudrin said: "We expect the situation will be better in September."
