Rosnano discusses joint projects with Intel competitor
MOSCOW. Sept 18 (Interfax) - The Rosnano state corporation is in talks with one of Intel's closes competitors on possible joint projects, Rosnano chief Anatoly Chubais said at a press conference in Moscow on Friday.
Intel is the market leader and has a market share of over 60% in some fundamental products. "When you interact with the number one company (the leader, serious, strong, authoritative, but not very flexible), the advice is to approach the number two company and you get absolutely fantastic proposals, simply breakthroughs," Chubais said. He did not name the company or the product types concerned.
"I don't want to go into details. But believe me, I am not dreaming. I am talking about substantive talks we are conducting. I think there will be results, but they will come a little later," he said. "And we will maintain our friendship with Intel and continue interacting with them," he said.
