Russian stock market continues to decline following world trends, MICEX Stock Exchange slips below 1,180 points

MOSCOW. Sept 21 (Interfax) - The Russian stock market on Monday morning continued to lose its position following trends on world commodities and stock markets. The MICEX slipped below 1,180 in morning trades.

By 1:00 pm Moscow time, the MICEX Stock Exchange fell by 2.5% to 1,178.56 points while the RTS index had decreased by 1.9%.

The loss is RTS futures came to 21.5 points, indicating the negative mood among investors was intensifying.
