Production at Yamal may total 360 bcm by 2030; Nadym-Purtazov district

SALEKHARD. Sept 23 (Interfax) - Production at Yamal may reach 360 billion cubic meters (bcm) by 2030 and the Nadym-Purtazovsky district may produce 140 bcm, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said at a meeting on the development of the Yamal Peninsula in Salekhard on Thursday.

The Nadym-Purtazovsky district is Russia's main gas production region, although the center of gas production is gradually shifting to Yamal, he said.

Nonetheless, Nadym-Purtazovsky will remain a significant gas producer by 2030, when it will produce 140 billion cubic meters compared with a projected 360 bcm at Yamal.
