Econ Ministry plans to allocate 25% of investment program to high tech in 2010

TOMSK. Sept 25 (Interfax) - The Russian Economic Development Ministry plans to maintain budget financing in 2010 at the 2009 level for federal targeted programs, which are focused on priority high-tech projects, Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabiullina told journalists in Tomsk on Friday.

Those programs will receive about 250 billion rubles, she said. "That is one quarter of our investment program," she said.

The money will go to space and aviation-technical programs, sea-based technologies and GLONASS.

"These programs suffered virtually no cutbacks in the budget optimization process, just a small adaptation, optimization," she said.
