Tymoshenko confident of no gas conflicts at year-end

YALTA. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is confident there won't be any problems in gas relations between Ukraine and Russia for the rest of 2009.

"Ukraine and Russia for the first time in recent years will celebrate New Year's at home. I definitely won't be at the airport or at Gazprom , just as any Naftogaz manager," she said on Friday at the Yalta European Strategy summit.

This year Ukraine will reduce consumption of Russian gas to 27 billion cubic meters from 53 billion cubic meters in 2008.
