Surgutneftegas to receive license for oil section in Khanty-Mansiisk

MOSCOW. Sept 29 (Interfax) - OJSC Surgutneftegas , following a tender, will receive a license for the geological study, survey and production of oil at the Chanatoiskoye section in the Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous Region, Rosnedr said in its materials.

The tender was declared invalid since only one application had been received. However, according to the law "On Resources", the license can be given to the tender's sole participant on agreed terms in light of such an outcome.

The company will make a one-time payment for the license coming to 130.7 million rubles.

Surgutneftegas told Interfax "the license was being drawn up."

According to Rosnedr C1 oil reserves at the section come to 0.4 million tonnes, C2 - 2.7 million tonnes and C3 - 0.62 million tonnes.
