MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax) - X5 Retail Group, Russia's leading retail grocery operator, has submitted an application with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) for the acquisition of a stake in the Paterson grocery chain, a source at the FAS told Interfax.

According to the source, the retail operator submitted the documentation on Friday, October 2. He declined to specify the size of the share packet.
