Customs Service to contribute 3.47 trln rubles to budget in 2009, above forecast

VLADIVOSTOK. Oct 12 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Customs Service (FCS) expects to contribute 3.47 trillion rubles to the budget in 2009, FCS head Andrei Belyaninov told journalists.

The figure corresponds to the initial FCS plan. However, over the course of the year the FCS said it would not meet the target. In August Belyaninov said the FCS would contribute 3 trillion-3.1 trillion rubles for the year.

"We will meet the initial plan," he told journalists on Monday. "Everything will be OK for us," he said.

It was reported earlier that the FCS contributed 2.312 trillion rubles to the budget in the first nine months of 2009, 33% less year-on-year. The FCS contributed 377.7 billion rubles to the budget in September, the best month of the year so far.
