CORRECTED: Schrader starts as COO at TNK-BP, Summers leaves company
(first paragraph adjusted)
MOSCOW. Oct 12 (Interfax) - TNK-BP has completed its earlier announced personnel rotation, officially appointing a new chief operating officer (COO), TNK-BP said in a statement.
Tim Summers, who had worked at TNK-BP for almost four years, left the company on October 9. Bill Schrader, who previously headed BP-Azerbaijan, took this position on Friday.
A company representative told Interfax that the personnel change had been earlier approved by TNK-BP's board of directors. The company announced in August that Schrader would replace Summers. The representative added that any questions regarding Summers' future career plans should be posed directly to him.
Schrader was in charge of BP-Azerbaijan over the last three years. He headed BP's division in Angola and Indonesia and has also worked in managerial positions in Britain the U.S. He is an American citizen and holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Houston.
