Russia could ship $1 bln in coal to China in 2009
BEIJING. Oct 13 (Interfax) - Russia could ship $1 billion in coal to China this year, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin told reporters following Russian-Chinese negotiations in Beijing.
"Coal shipments will reach $1 billion by the end of the year," Sechin said, referring to agreements reached in the coal sphere.
Siberian Coal and Energy Company (SUEK), Russia's biggest coal producer, has said it planned to boost shipments to China ten-fold this year.
