Russian stocks open higher; MICEX index gains 1.2% in first min
MOSCOW. Oct 19 (Interfax) - Russian stocks opened higher on Monday, reversing the losses on Friday amid stabilizing stock exchanges abroad and higher oil prices.
The MICEX index was up 1.2% to 1,332.87 points as of 10:31 a.m. and the RTS index was unchanged at 1,408.69 points. The blue chips had posted gains in the range 0.8%-1.9%.
RTS futures were just 6.8 points below fair value indicating moderately negative sentiment.
