Central Bank bought about $1 bln on Oct 22, over $0.5 bln on Oct 23

MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia purchased about $1 billion on the domestic currency market on October 22 and over $0.5 billion on October 23, Central Bank First Deputy Chairman Alexei Ulyukayev told journalists on Friday.

"Several hundred million dollars, over half a billion dollars," he said when asked how much foreign currency the Central Bank had purchased on Friday.
