Kaspi Bank increases assets by 24% in Jan-Sept

ALMATY. Oct 30. (Interfax) - As of October 1, 2009 the assets of Kazakhstan's commercial Kaspi Bank made up 314.063 billion tenge vs. 253.307 billion tenge as of January 1, 2009, the bank said in its financial statement, published in the official press of Friday.

The bank's liabilities amounted to 284.128 billion tenge as of October 1, 2009 vs. 222.601 billion tenge as of January 1, 2009. The equity capital decreased to 29.934 billion tenge from 30.706 billion tenge respectively. The authorized capital dropped to 16.808 billion tenge from 17.071 billion tenge.

The bank's net loss in January-September made up 1.315 billion tenge vs. net profit of 887.079 million tenge in the same period last year.

In 2008 Kaspi Bank was ranked 80th by assets among the CIS banks and 10th among the Kazakh banks according to the Interfax-1000: CIS Bank ranking prepared by the Interfax Center of Economic Analysis.
