*** Russia's Finance Ministry will hold an auction to place temporary idle budget funds in bank deposits for four weeks, the ministry said in a statement. Total funds up for auction come to 50 billion rubles.
*** Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) plans to start placing a fifth series of 10 billion rubles in exchange bonds.
