Russia's Tatneft reduces oil production 0.5% in Jan-Oct

KAZAN. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Russia's Tatneft produced 21.528 million tonnes of oil in January-October 2009, down 0.5% from 21.632 million tonnes in the same period last year but 1.7% above target, the company reported.

Tatneft produced 2.199 million tonnes of oil in October, 4.2% more year-on-year.

Drilling totaled 463,000 meters in the 10 months, including 370,000 meters for Tatneft, 32,000 meters for subsidiaries and 61,000 meters for joint ventures and smaller oil companies.

A total of 307 wells were commissioned in the period, including 247 for Tatneft, 17 for subsidiaries and 43 for joint ventures and smaller oil companies.

Oil companies operating in Tatarstan produced 27.074 million tonnes of oil in January-October, up 0.1% year-on-year, including 2.772 million tonnes in October, up 3.7%.
