Kamaz chief Kogogin to replace Aleshin on Avtovaz board
MOSCOW. Nov 9 (Interfax) - Sergei Kogogin, the head of Russian truck maker Kamaz , will replace Boris Aleshin, the former president of Avtovaz , on the carmaker's board of directors.
Aleshin was replaced in the top job at Avtovaz by Igor Komarov, who is not a candidate for a seat on the board of directors.
Avtovaz shareholders will elect a new board of directors at an extraordinary meeting on November 20. The results of the election are a foregone conclusion, as there are exactly 12 candidates for the 12 seats, according to materials prepared for the meeting obtained by Interfax.
The list of candidates include the 11 incumbent members of the board other than Aleshin and Kogogin.
The Avovaz board includes three representatives from Renault: President Carlos Ghosn, Executive Vice President Patrick Pelata, and the director of Avtoframos in Moscow, Christian Esteve. There are also three representatives from Rostekhnologii: company chief Sergei Chemezov; his first deputy Alexei Aleshin and deputy Igor Zavalyov. Another three seats are held by Troika Dialog : board chairman Ruben Vardanyan, Managing Director Richard Ogdon and Troika Capital Partners President Sergei Skvortsov. The other three members of the board are Samara region governor Vladimir Artyakov, labor union head Nikolai Karagin and Aleshin.
Kogogin earlier said he was prepared to head Rosauto, the automotive holding company being formed by Rostekhnologii, which will receive the state corporation's stakes in Avtovaz, Kamaz and a host of other enterprises.
