Medication prices up 0.3% in Oct - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - Prices for medications in October went up 0.3% in comparison with September, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said in its materials.

In comparison with October 2008, medications went up in price by 21.4%.

The medications posting the biggest price increases were galazolin (up 7%), ambroxol, domestic aspirin and nitroglycerin - up 1.3%-2%. Prices on multivites, corvalol, iodine, suprastin, validol, pancreatin and enalappril decreased in price by 0.2%-1.5%.

Prices for medicine increase between January and May of this year by 18.4% but started decreasing in June. The increase in prices started again in October.
