MMK affirms 2009 output forecast, ups production in 10 mths

MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is planning to produce 8.6 million-8.7 million tonnes of finished roll in 2009, as forecast, despite seasonal variations in demand in Q4, a source at the Russian steel major told Interfax.

Rolled steel production came to 7.3 million tonnes in January-October. This included just over 820,000 tonnes in October, or 18% more than in the same month last year, the source said.
