Enel OGK-5 boosts net profit 140% in 9 mths

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Enel OGK-5 boosted net profit 140% to 2.175 billion rubles under Russian accounting standards, the genco said in its earnings statement.

Revenue declined 4.8% in the nine months year-on-year to 30.45 billion rubles. Costs were down 10.2% to 26.3 billion rubles and the gross profit rose 50% to 4.17 billion rubles.

Pretax profit was up 100% to 2.88 billion rubles.

Enel OGK-5 includes the Konakovskaya, Nevinnomysskaya, Sredneuralskaya and Reftinskaya district electricity stations (GRES) with installed capacity of 8,700 megawatts. Italian Enel owns 56% of shares.
