Russian gas consumption 8% above last year - Gazprom
MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Gas consumption is on the rise in Russia and in Europe, the press office of Gazprom , the Russian gas monopoly, said.
Gazprom said 8% more gas was supplied to Russia-based consumers so far in November than in the same period of last year, and that consumption had risen 20% on some days.
It was up almost 50% or by 170 million cubic meters per day on occasions in Europe. As of November 18, Gazprom had increased gas supply to Europe by more than 37% on average compared with a year ago.
