Russian-Ukrainian committee will not discuss gas issues - Tymoshenko

KYIV. Nov 18 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian-Russian Intergovernmental Committee will not discuss gas issues, Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said.

"This Ukrainian-Russian economic committee will not discuss a single issue related to natural gas," Tymoshenko said in Kyiv on Wednesday.

"There are no problems to be discussed today," she said.

"All issues have been settled for the next ten years, starting from prices and ending in all aspects of cooperation in transit," the prime minister said.

"We have also resolve all problems related to settlements. For the first time in 18 years Ukraine has paid fully for natural gas and it will continue doing so in the future," Tymoshenko said.

"The only pleasant point emerging from January 1, 2010 is that the price of Russian gas transit across Ukraine has risen for the first time in 18 years - in our estimate, by twice as much from the agreements signed in early 2009," she said.
