Rosneft halves GAAP earnings to $4.84 bln in 9M; Q3 net down 27.5%, below forecast

MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Rosneft halved net profit to $4.84 billion in January-September 2009 compared with the same period of last year, the oil company said.

Analysts said in a consensus forecast for Interfax that they thought net profit would be $5.084 billion in the 9M.

Net profit fell 27.5% in Q3 2009 compared with Q2 2009 to $1.168 billion. Analysts forecast $1.412 billion.
