Raspadskaya, Belon win Kuzbass coal licenses
KEMEROVO. Nov 26 (Interfax) - OJSC Raspadskaya and LLC Shakhta Chertinskaya-Yuzhnaya, a member of the Belon group, won coal licenses at auctions in the Kemerovo region, which is home to the coal-rich Kuznetsk basin (Kuzbass).
The Russian Federal Subsurface Resources Agency (Rosnedra) told Interfax that OJSC Raspadskaya won the exploration and mining rights to the Shahkta-Raspadskaya-3 section of the Raspadskoye field in the Mezhdurechensk district, bidding 104.5 million rubles, or just above the starting price of 95 million rubles.
The 23.7 square km property contains an estimated 300 million tonnes of P1 coal graded GZhO, GZh and Zh.
LLC Shakhta Chertinskaya-Yuzhnaya won the rights to the Chertinsky Gluboky section of the Chertinskoye field in the Belovo district, bidding 137.5 million rubles (starting price 125 million rubles).
