Ford to have new president for Russian operations as of Jan 1

ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 27 (Interfax) Mark Ovenden will be Ford's president and managing director in Russia as of January 1, 2010. Ovenden currently works as the company's vice president for marketing, sales and servicing of Ford vehicles in Russia.

The company said in a statement that the company's current president and managing director, Nigel Brackenbury, would become director of Customer Service Europe starting next year.

Ford's vice president in Russia will be Sergei Bogdanov, who currently heads Ford Heavy Trucks.

The changes in the company's managing team "should further strengthen the company's position on the Russian market," the statement said.

Ford opened the automotive plant CJSC Ford Motor Company in summer 2002.
