Iran confirms willingness to give Russia priority on new NPP contracts

BUSHEHR. Nov 30 (Interfax) - Tehran has confirmed its willingness to give Russia a priority on new contracts for construction of nuclear power plants.

"Due to our cooperation, naturally, Russia has a certain priority for this," Iranian Vice President and head of the country's atomic energy organization Ali Akbar Salehi told journalists, adding that Iran plans to build 20,000 megawatts of new nuclear power facilities over the next 15-20 years.
