VimpelCom appoints new managers at Ukraine, Georgia subsidiaries

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - VimpelCom has appointed new managers at its subsidiaries in Ukraine and Georgia, and has reshuffled staff at its Russian offices, the No.2 Russian cellular provider said in a statement.

Andrei Melinevsky, former sales manager in Ukraine, takes the helm at the Ukrainian unit, which comprises Ukrainian RadioSystems and LLC Golden Telecom. He replaces Alexander Barinov, who becomes vice president for sales at the mass markets development unit in Russia on December 1.

Oleg Gordeyev, former general director of VimpelCom's division for liaison with small businesses on December 1. Andrei Pakhtin, former manager for corporate business development in Russia's regions, replaces Gordeyev at Mobitel.
