Russia boosts oil exports to non-CIS 2.9% in 10 mths; gas down 31.1% - customs

MOSCOW. Dec 4 (Interfax) - Russia exported 175.48 million tonnes of oil to non-CIS countries in the first 10 months of 2009, up 2.9% year-on-year, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said.

Petroleum product exports in tonnage rose 7.6%, including growth of 11% for gasoline, 9.4% for diesel and 6.7% for fuel oil.

Fuel and energy exports 45.2% year-on-year in value terms.

Fuel and energy accounted for 69.6% of Russian exports to the non-CIS in the 10 months, compared with 73.1% in the same period last year.

Oil shipments to the CIS fell 14.3% year-on-year to 12.318 million tonnes. Oil product exports fell 36%, including diesel - 48.5%, fuel oil - 65% and gasoline - 6.7%.

Fuel and energy exports to the CIS fell 47% in value terms in the 10 months.

Fuel and energy accounted for 39.2% of exports to the CIS, down from 42.1% in January-October 2008.

Russia exported 112.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas in January-October 2009. Gas exports to the non-CIS fell 31.1% to 92.4 bcm, while exports to the CIS rose 47.1% to 19.7 bcm.
