Kazakhstan ups oil, condensate output 8.4% in 11 mths, gas up 5.9%

ASTANA. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan produced 69.676 million tonnes of oil and condensate, a 8.4% year-on-year increase, in January-November.

The country produced 4.920 million tonnes of gas condensate alone, a 9.7% drop year-on-year.

KazMunayGas produced 8.269 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate during the eleven months, 4.6% down year-on-year. Companies partly owned by KazMunayGas produced 31.803 million tonnes of oil, up 18.1%, including TengizChevrOil - 20.363 million tonnes, up 30.4%, KazGerMunay 2.930 million tonnes (up 2.3%), OJSC Petro Kazakhstan Kumkol Resources 2.809 million tonnes (up 2.9%), OJSC MangistauMunayGas 5.233 million tonnes (up 1.9%), and OJSC CNPC-AktobeMunayGas 5.550 million tonnes (up 3.8%).

Kazakhstan produced 6.689 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate in November, including 458,301 tonnes of condensate.

Gas production in Kazakhstan came to 32.209 billion cubic meters in January-November, up 5.9% year-on-year.

Natural gas production came to 16.427 bcm, a 2.9% drop from the same period last year.

A government source told Interfax that KazMunayGas produced 1.170 bcm of gas in the eleven months, a decrease of 5.5% year-on-year.

Companies partly owned by KazMunayGas produced 11.620 bcm (up 23.5%), including TengizChevrOil - 10.145 bcm (up 24.7%).

Other companies produced 19.419 bcm (down 1.8%), including Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO) - 14.135 bcm (up 4.4%).

Kazakhstan produced 2.800 bcm of gas in November alone.
