Economist Yegor Gaidar dies
MOSCOW. Dec 16 (Interfax) - Prominent Russian economist Yegor Gaidar who was one of the initiators of Russia's economic reforms in Boris Yeltsin's government in the early 1990s has died at his home in Odintsovo district, Moscow region Wednesday morning.
A police source told Interfax Gaidar's death was likely to have been caused by a floating thrombus.
