Kyiv will pay for January gas import before Feb 5

KYIV. Jan 27 (Interfax) - Ukraine will pay Russia in full for its natural gas supplied in January before February 5, acting Finance Minister Ihor Umanskiy said.

"Naftogaz will fully pay for the gas that was and will be consumed before the end of January. The deadline is February 5," Umanskiy told journalists on Wednesday.

Asked whether Naftogaz Ukrainy will pay with its own or borrowed funds, the acting minister said: "I think it will be a mixed system."
