Russia ups oil output 2.8%, gas soars 16.2% in Jan

MOSCOW. Feb 2 (Interfax) - Russia increased oil production 2.8% year-on-year in January to 42.472 million tonnes (10.043 million barrels per day), the Fuel and Energy Central Dispatch Center said.

Rosneft produced 10.257 million tonnes of oil, Lukoil - 7.798 million tonnes, TNK-BP Holding - 5.997 million tonnes, Surgutneftegas - 4.945 million tonnes, Gazprom Neft - 2.501 million tonnes, Tatneft - 2.221 million tonnes, Slavneft - 1.574 million tonnes, Bashneft - 1.132 million tonnes and RussNeft - 1.029 million tonnes.

Russian enterprises and partly foreign-owned joint ventures produced 2.268 million tonnes of oil in January.

Gas giant Gazprom produced 1.138 million tonnes of oil and production-sharing agreement (PSA) operators - 1.321 million tonnes.

Russian gas production soared 16.2% year-on-year in January to 63.952 billion cubic meters.

Gazprom produced 50.751 bcm, OJSC NOVATEK - 3.493 bcm and other oil and gas companies - 1.915 bcm.

Vertically integrated oil companies produced 5.71 bcm of gas in January: Lukoil produced 1.326 bcm; Rosneft - 1.668 bcm; Surgutneftegas - 1.184 bcm and TNK-BP - 1.020 bcm.
