Gazprom boosts Shtokman reserves to 3.9 trln cu m, 100% commercial
MOSCOW. Feb 3 (Interfax) - Gazprom has transferred all reserves at the big Shtokman gas field to the commercial category (C1), a Gazprom Dobycha Shelf representative told journalists on the sidelines of a conference concerning the Russian shelf.
Shtokman's reserves were previously estimated to total 3.8 trillion cubic meters of gas in categories C1-C2.
Gazprom has already said that C1 gas condensate reserves at Shtokman have been increased 71% from original C1+C2 counts to 53.3 million tonnes.
It said the condensate reserves grew because the field's geological model had altered in the process of exploration and that new data had been obtained for the potential condensate content in gas.
