Kazakhstan extracts 5.7% more oil, gas condensate in Jan

ASTANA. Feb 4 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan extracted 6.608 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate combined in January, 5.7% more year-on-year, including 44,936 tonnes of gas condensate (1.2% less).

KazMunaiGas extracted 728,980 tonnes of oil and gas condensate, 5.7% more than in January 2009, the government told Interfax.

Enterprises KazMunaiGas is involved with extractd 3.103 million tonnes of oil (5.1% more year-on-year), including the joint ventures TengizChevroil - 2.073 million tonnes (9.0% more) and Kazgermunai - 267,145 tonnes (0.01% less), Petro Kazakhstan Kumkol Resources - 258,684 tonnes (0.04% less), and Turgai Petroleum - 258,631 tonnes (0.33% less).

Other Kazakh oil companies produced 2.776 million tonnes of oil in January (6.5% more year-on-year), including Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO) - 992,319 tonnes (2.2% more), MangistauMunaiGas - 477,741 tonnes (2.9% more), and SNPS AktobeMunaiGas - 526,119 tonnes (5.1% more).
