Kazakhstan boosts oil refining in Jan by 37.1%

ASTANA. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Oil refining in Kazakhstan in January 2010 came to 1,174,131 tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 37.1%, the government told Interfax.

In the first month of 2010, Pavlodar Refinery increased output by 26.2% to 425,764 tonnes, PetroKazakhstan Oil Products - 36.3% to 433,367 tonnes and Atyrau Refinery - 56.4% to 315,000 tonnes.

Production of automobile gasoline in January 2010 increased 43.7% year-on-year to 283,343 tonnes. This included Pavlodar Refinery, boosting its gasoline output by 47.1% to 129,920 tonnes, PetroKazakhstan Oil Products - 93,823 tonnes (31.3%) and Atyrau Refinery - 59,600 tonnes (59.8%).

Refineries in Kazakhstan produces 348,516 tonnes of diesel fuel (up 39.1%), heating oil - 334,495 tonnes (up 63%), vacuum gas oil - 65,070 tonnes (29.5%), aviation fuel - 44,933 tonnes (250%) and liquefied gas - 185,569 tonnes (26.5%).
