Tariffs for cargo transport in Jan increase by 17% - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Tariffs on cargo transport increased on average by 17.1% year-on-year in Russia in January 2010 and by 19.8% since the start of the year, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said in its materials.

In comparison with December 2009, tariffs on railway transport increased by 9.5%, automotive transport - 1.1% and pipeline - 4.2%.

For 2009, tariffs on cargo transport increased by 17.4% in comparison with 2008. Tariffs for railway hauling went up by 10.6%, automotive - decrease of 2.5% and pipeline - up 0.1%.
