Russian oil exports to non-CIS flat in Jan, gas exports drop 18.3%
MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - Russia's oil exports to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States in January remained flat with 2009 at 17.337 million tonnes, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said.
Oil product exports by volume dropped 2% year-on-year, including diesel fuel by 6.4% and gasoline by 22.7%. Export of liquid fuels increased 3.5%.
The value of Russia's fuel and energy commodities in January increased 49.2% from the same month last year.
Customs figures show that fuel and energy represented 74.9% of all Russia's exports to non-CIS countries in January (71% in January 2009).
Oil exports by volume to CIS countries came to 1.324 million tonnes in January, 16.8% below the January 2009 level.
Oil product exports by volume dropped 33.9% year-on-year, including diesel fuel by 55.9% and gasoline by 11.1%. Kerosene exports increased 21% by volume.
The value of fuel and energy commodities exported to CIS counties increased 140% year-on-year in January.
Fuel and energy represented 64% of all Russia's exports to CIS countries (48.5% in January 2009).
Exports of Russian natural gas reached 9.2 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January. Gas exports to non-CIS countries dropped 18.7% to 5.4 bcm, while exports to the CIS increased 280% to 3.8 bcm.
