Kazakhstan ups oil, condensate exports 16.7% in Jan
ASTANA. March 15 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan exported 5.204 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate in January, a 16.7% year-on-year increase, the state statistics agency said.
Those exports brought the country $2.756 billion, or twice what it received last January.
Natural gas exports came to 1.681 billion cubic meters (bcm) (75.8% of January 2009) and brought $105.6 million (57.5% of January 2009). Natural gas imports came to 453.5 million cubic meters (95.1%) for $33.4 million (83.2%).
Kazakhstan exported 407,600 tonnes of oil products in January (95% of January 2009) for $142.1 (481.7%). Oil product imports were 126,300 tonnes (69.5%) for $66.2 million (105.6%).
