Belarus, Russia not mulling gas duty
BREST. March 17 (Interfax) - Belarus and Russia are not discussing an import duty on Russian gas supplies, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov told reporters on Tuesday evening.
"The subject was not discussed [at Tuesday's meeting of the Union State's Council of ministers]," Kobyakov said, commenting on Russian media speculation that a 30%-duty might be imposed on Russian gas to compensate for shortfall in budget revenue from the zero duties on East Siberian oil.
