Lukoil's US GAAP net profits for 2009 drop 23.3% to $7.011 bln, less than forecast

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Russian oil major Lukoil posted $7.011 billion in net profit to US GAAP for 2009, 23.3% lower than in 2008 and undercutting some analyst forecasts, the company said.

Some analysts had projected $7.403 billion, with UniCredit coming closest with a forecast of $7.039 billion.

EBITDA for 2009 was $13.475 billion, down 14.7% from the year before. Sales revenue was $81.083 billion ($107.68 billion in 2008).
