400 rescuers, firefighters involved in search operation at blast scenes in Moscow metro
MOSCOW. March 29 (Interfax) - Updated reports say that the explosion at the Park Kultury metro station occurred at 8:37 a.m. on Monday in the third wagon of the train, head of the information department of the Emergency Situations' Ministry Irina Andrianova said in an interview with Vesti channel.
"Search and rescue services at the scene are being conducted by rescuers, firefighters and other operative services. The operation involves almost 400 people and 180 vehicles and pieces of equipment," she said.
Metro traffic has been suspended and additional surface transportation has been organized. Over 30 buses are traveling between the Komsomolskaya metro station and the Luzhniki area.
