Moscow explosions could be equivalent to 3 kg of TNT
MOSCOW. March 29 (Interfax) - It is believed that the explosions in the Moscow metro on Monday morning were caused by improvised explosive devices (IED), the National Anti-terrorist Committee's federal operative headquarters said.
"According to preliminary reports, the IEDs set off a powerful explosion equivalent to approximately three kilograms of TNT, two female suicide bombers are suspected of staging the attacks," the NAC said in a statement on Monday.
