Ukraine president has his salary halved
KYIV. March 31 (Interfax) - Ukraine's government has halved President Viktor Yanukovych's salary with effect from April 1, 2010, to April 1, 2011, in implementation of a decree to that effect by Yanukovych himself.
Yanukovych signed a decree on March 4 to halve his salary and cut spending on his executive staff and local administrations one-fifth.
